desecretsFirst of all, THANK YOU in advance!! 🩷 These are all fandoms that I have a lot of warm and fuzzy nostalgic feelings for, but which don't have much in the way of fanfic (well, with the exception of Aubrey-Maturin, where the movie has a fair bit, but yanno) -- so, in short, I will be delighted to receive just about anything, for any one of them. Follow where your heart and the plot bunnies take you, dear nonnie author, and have no fear!!
Things that are okay for all fandoms even if I didn't specify: PWP. Angst. Whump. Hurt/comfort, hurt no comfort. Messed up character dynamics. D/s undertones where applicable. Getting together fic/first kiss/first time, etc. Fluff, banter.

Withnail and I:
What gets me so much about this movie is the way in which, underneath all the zany comedy and fantastically quotable dialogue, it's actually a really heartwrenching portrait of queer loneliness in the 1960's and earlier. It stands in a truly fascinating point in time when there was real idealism, greater tolerance, and true strides were being made towards social change, and yet, clearly, the characters in the movie have gone through the 60's, the counterculture revolution, the decade of free love, and come out injured rather than healed. I would love anything which focuses on a queer reading of this film -- the unspoken implication that, in addition to being thespians, Monty and Withnail perhaps share another quality which makes them both unwanted by the rest of their posh family, and makes them find solidarity in each other. The possibility that when Withnail told Monty that he had rejected Marwood, he was in fact inverting the situation and projecting his own undisclosed and seemingly unrequited infatuation with Marwood. The possibility that, in fact, Marwood is bisexual and deeply in denial about it (and may even be, or have formerly been, in love with Withnail), and that this is the driver behind his paralysing fear whenever homosexuality is brought up. Missing scenes, character study, post-movie fic, I'll take anything. Marwood and Withnail are my darlings but honestly, if you're possessed by the urge to write a thousand words of Monty's youthful adventures at Oxford, go for it.
MacGyver 1985:
This is truly a "genuinely if I get a thousand words of literally anything I'll be over the moon" fandom. Some of my favourite things, though, are: first and foremost, Mac's relationship with Murdoc. They have such a perfect and archetypical Kate Beaton nemesis comic vibe (link). Murdoc makes him vegetarian dinner with gilt Cupids on the table as part of a trap! They work (un)surprisingly well together the one time they're forced to! There are redemption arc teasers! They're both lowkey obsessed with each other! Anything about them would be a joy. I do also love the other recurring characters though - so if you should feel like putting in Jack, Pete or Penny, or really anyone else you feel like, go ahead. As far as plot, anything from gen banter through pwp to casefic is great, I just wanna hang out with these guys again. Do not hesitate to write in the silly first-person voice-over if the spirit moves you.
Scream of the Shalka:
[restrained scream] This Doctor and this Master!!! God. They are so messed up!! I would love to see anything at all which explores the fact that the Doctor virtually owns the Master in this story -- the angst and complications (and, no doubt, arguments) that arise from the fact that the Master can't go anywhere, and the Doctor can switch him off at will. But also, they're closer in this story than in any other: the Master calling himself the Doctor's "dearest companion" and clearly wanting to protect the life they share in the TARDIS, just the two of them... obviously, I want them to kiss about it, etc. Would also be quite happy to receive some "robot fuckers make do" style pwp of these guys, if that's your thing. Otherwise, any exploration of their relationship is great, whether it's a lighthearted interlude or fighting or getting-together fic. I also enjoyed Alison's character, so if you want to explore the strange situation they live in through her eyes, that's fine too! I'd prefer if neither of them was outright cruel to the other (...I mean. More than their canon level of bastard-ness), but angst is okay!
Doctor Who 1996:
Listen. Listen. Eight is a fluffy baby with ungodly amounts of medical trauma. And Roberts Master is a goo snake. This one is supremely silly, but it makes me happy. Since the movie conveniently establishes that the Master is stupidly hard to kill, I would love to see e.g. a fic on the premise that, having been sucked into the Eye of Harmony, the Master just sort of... haunts the Doctor's TARDIS afterwards. Snarks at him from the main console. Or something, I don't know Doctor Who science. If you want to write him somehow coming back as a goo snake and just oozing around as the world's worst pet, go for it. I didn't list Grace on the signup form because she isn't a must for me (and I don't really ship her with the Doctor), but I think she and Eight could have a lovely friendship, and if you wanna include her go for it!
Aubrey-Maturin:
Okay, I should say, I've only watched the movie and read the first two books. (Sorry! There's a lot of them!) But anything set on the ship, any little moment or some silly problem they run into, or just fluff, or a duet that leads to a more horizontal kind of duet... all wonderful. The story can be set later in the canon if you like! Also, this is a bit niche, but I loved the character of James Dillon from the very first novel, and I thought it was such a shame, though understandable, that he died and didn't become a recurring character, because he was such a wonderful foil for both Jack and Stephen! The three of them would have made a formidable and hilarious wardroom trio, and I would have loved to see it. So anything involving him, whether before he dies or through the magic of AU handwaving, would be a real treat. I would prefer if the story didn't centre too much on Diana angst.
General DNWs:
For these fandoms with the exception of Aubrey-Maturin, I prefer no modern regular human AUs. For all of them: I'd prefer no 'worldbuilding AUs' (soulbond, sentinel, omegaverse, daemons, etc). I'd like no major character death except the canon ones, but exploring the canon ones is fine! Re smut and kink, preferably no hardcore or high protocol bdsm, scat, piss, or hardcore humiliation.
